The Ritz-Carlton ballroom came alive for UOB Private Bank’s Chinese New Year dinner, where 368 guests enjoyed a grand seated celebration. The foyer buzzed with festive fun — from Dragon’s Breath and dragon beard candy to fan calligraphy, a dazzling Chinese opera performance, and even an edible candy wall to delight everyone.
the bold strokes
We curated a Chinese New Year themed dinner experience inspired by the brush strokes from ‘Moving ahead in Bold Strokes’.
All eyes were on the main stage as the evening’s highlight unfolded — captivating performances that wowed the audience, followed by a master calligrapher skillfully bringing tradition to life. With graceful strokes, he stamped the grand UOB motif onto calligraphy paper, symbolizing prosperity and setting an auspicious tone to usher in the new year.
edible candy wall
A stunning centrepiece of the evening was a 6-metre-long edible candy wall crafted entirely from chocolate by renowned pastry artist Janice Wong. Designed to reflect the theme of “Moving with Bold Strokes,” the installation combined artistry and indulgence, offering guests a memorable, interactive experience that delighted both the eyes and palate.

Branding was thoughtfully woven throughout the ballroom and foyer, ensuring a strong and cohesive UOB presence. From stage design to décor accents and experiential touchpoints, every detail was carefully curated to reinforce the brand image, creating an environment that was both festive and unmistakably aligned with UOB’s identity.
